THANKS for attending the 2nd Annual Gray Tie Ball!
1/1/2007
Dear Friends of LAAF,
Thanks to all that joined us at Casa Royale for the 2nd Annual Gray Tie Ball on Dec. 1st.
Although we had to overcome a few minor glitches in the evening, the responses have been so positive and we are glad that everyone had a great time. All in all - It was an amazing night and a wonderful way to honor Lori on her birthday.
Not only did we have a fun filled evening but we were able to bring education and some awareness to our cause – what a success!
This time we were fortunate to have Brain Cancer survivor David Bouhls share his story with us! For a moment, we were able to share in his journey and from that moment on - his strength and humor inspired us. THANK YOU David!!
Dr. Raizer also spoke to us about the strides in Brain Cancer research, updated us on Northwestern's Brain Tumor Research Fund and spoke from the heart about his hopes for our foundation and about the importance of bringing awareness of this devastating disease to the community. Thankyou so much Dr. Jeff!
Thank you all for your support! We will be sending out receipts / thank yous by the end of January.
A special thanks to our volunteers from UPS, Northwestern and Phi Theta Cappa and to those like Kathy Husak that jumped right in to help us during a great time of need. You are the best!
The Gray Tie Ball programs will be mailed out to you. In addition to the auction items, the program includes valuable information about the foundation, recognizes sponsors and volunteers and also includes bios on our guest speakers. After reading, feel free to pass it along! It’s a great way to share the event with your friends and family and may even encourage them to join us next year!
Please check the website often for upcoming events. We are currently offering the 'Cooking for a Cause' Raffle and will begin selling Six Flags tickets in March for our 'Coasters for a Cause' event. This year - there may even be a link to LAAF on the Six Flags website. Check back for details! We are currently fine tuning the details for this years walk and will email them out as soon as possible.
We appreciate your continued support and ask that you spread the news about LAAF. You know the saying "You tell 2 friends, and they tell 2 friends and so on.. and so on.. and so on..." PLEASE - TELL 2 friends and ask them to do the same.
We certainly appreciate your joining us and look forward to seeing you again at our next event.
Together, we will make a difference - Lisa – LAAF Executive Director Linda – LAAF President lisad@laafinc.com
Remember to display your gray awareness magnet on your car and to live, love, laaf!
