MRI update

Lori had her MRI on Friday morning. We met with Dr. Fine in the afternoon. She is having no sypmtoms but unfortunately both tumors have grown significantly. She has been taken off the LY trial. We discussed options with Dr. Fine & have decided the next step is to go back to Northwestern & Dr. Raizer & try a standard chemo (carboplatin) along with some other drugs to make a cocktail. The chemo will be done by IV once every 6 weeks & the other drugs will most likely be in pill form taken every day. Dr. Raizer is deciding this weekend what other drugs should make up the cocktail. The hope is to blast the tumors from many directions to get it to stop growing. Lori will see Dr. Raizer sometime on Tuesday & hopefully start the chemo on Wednesday or Thursday, whenever they can get her in.
