Preparations and Thanksgivings

We will be leaving on Tuesday morning
for the 12 hour drive to Bethesda.
A roadtrip for Lori,Linda,and I. We are anxious to meet with Dr. Fine, head of the National Cancer Institute's Neuro-Oncology Branch. Hopefully Dr. Fine will help us decide which clinical trial is best for Lori's condition. We believe it is a new drug called LY317615, but we are open to suggestions from the doctor. We will be back in Chicago either Thursday or Friday. If all goes well Lori and her Mom will be flying back sunday to start pre-testing and the clinical trial the week immediately after Thanksgiving. I will fly out to join them for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Yesterday we celebrated an early Thanksgiving and birthdays at Linda and Wally's. Anthony, Lori's nephew, turned 4 and Lori and I celebrate our birthdays the week after Thanksgiving.
It was a beautiful family gathering.

As we head into this week of Thanksgiving we reflect on the challenges behind and ahead. We also stop for a moment and reflect on the love that all of you have shared with us and feel truly blessed and grateful.
