Healing Ceremony

We saw Lori & Erik on Sunday. Lori looks great!

We really missed everyone for the last 2 weeks while Wally & I took off for Peru & the Amazon with a tour group of 16 people. When we were in Cuzco (Macchu Picchu), we went to a cuarandero (a mestizo medicine man) healing ceremony. In 2001 this shaman was among a group of people who gathered in NYC for a World Peace Summit. He blessed all of us in our group. I then asked for a special ceremony for Lori. First he did a fortune telling by throwing coca leaves. He said she is going to be fine (I took that to mean cured!!) Then he & I & our tour guide took a taxi (what a site that must have been!!) & went shopping for the special ingredients he needed to do a cure package especially made for Lori. He put it together all the while chanting & saying her name.

We brought the package back & on Sunday, Wally & I and Lori & Erik burned the package & buried it per the shaman's instructions. We felt a great spiritual connection & it just all felt so right. As you can see, we are willing to try anything!! We just all have to believe!

This Sunday is the 1 year anniversary of Lori's 1st surgery. In the next few weeks we are going to have a small get together with family & a few friends in celebration of life. And we will continue to celebrate life each & every day. I am so glad to be back!!!
