Hi Everyone!!
1/12/2004

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! It's been a while since I've written so I am going have to do this update in parts.

Just after my last update, I had meetings with my neurooncologist and neurosurgen (seperately). We met to discuss my scan. They both said they were very pleased with the result and that it was intirely clean, it couldn't have been better. Of course we were elated. The trick is to keep doing whatever I am doing and keep getting these clean scans and everything should be okay. What I have been doing is working with a nutritionist who specializes in brain cancer. She is amazing, really helping understand what foods and supplements help and what doesn't. I would highly recommend her if anyone may need to pass on the info.

Shortly after the meetings I was to begin chemo. My blood results came back and my platelets were too low to begin, had to go back to get more blood until they came up again. The plan was to get chemo done before the holidays began. Unfortunately, I couldn't do this round until we were in Miami for New Years Eve. With my blood counts down I got a terrible cold on Christmas, lasted until NYE, then took chemo. So as you can imagine, the website has been silent for a while. One of my resolutions this year is to stay connected and reconnect with friends and family, and this website is a wonderful way for me to do just that.

Since I haven't written in a while and since my short term memory is somewhat shakey these days, I am sure to remember more things that have happened since my last update. When I do (probably as soon as I submit this), I will write more.

I remember what I wanted to write, I have another scan this Thursday at 10:00. Keep you fingers crossed!!

I remembered another thing, I am working on a photo gallery from my yahoo account with pics from the hospital, recovery, scans, etc. Once I have that worked out, I will post the link.

I knew there would be more...I cooked my very first Christmas dinner with turkey and all the fixins, and only 4 months after surgery!! Just wanted to toot my own horn!!:)
