Lori has been sleeping & is nonresponsive since Monday morning. She is comfortable & looks peaceful & is not in pain. Her brother Ed & his wife Christa & her sister Lisa & I have been spending the night with Lori & Erik. Actually Lisa & I have been staying day & night with them. On Tuesday night, Ed & Lisa & I were joined by her brother Dan & her brother Walt & Erik's friend Scott.

Wednesday during the day, hospice sent over a harpist who played beautiful soothing music & a chaplain who prayed some passages from the Bible. It was definitely something Lori would like. That is when she began opening her eyes. On Wednesday night, her dad & grandparents & aunt & uncle all came over to visit with Lori. Lori opened her eyes and looked at each one of them when they talked to her.

I am very sad but this is a beautiful way to say goodbye.
